THE GREATEST BANGALI OF ALL TIME BANGANANDHU SHEIKH MUJIBUR RAHMAN

Today we are going to know about a great Soul, The greatest Bangali of all time Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman who is the architect of the independent sovereign state of Bangladesh and the father of the nation of Bangladesh.He was born on 17 March 1920 in Tungipara of Gaepalganj district.  His father Sheikh Lutfar Rahman and mother Saira Khatun.He was very brilliant from his childhood. From his student days he became involved in politics and politics.  He obtained his BA degree from Calcutta University and studied law at Dhaka University. A meeting of the Rashtrabhasha Sangram Parishad chaired by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on 10 March 1948 decided to go on strike on 11 March.  Bangabandhu was arrested during the picketing of the strike.  He has been imprisoned many times for his involvement in various democratic movements including the language movement.  He resigned from the provincial cabinet of East Bengal in 1956 and through a nationwide tour created Bengali nationalism and political awareness in the minds of the people.  He united the whole nation by building an all-out movement by raising the six-point demand known as the Charter of Liberation of the Bengalis.  Under his leadership, the Awami League won an absolute majority in the national and provincial elections of the then Pakistan in 1970.  But the then government of Pakistan started a conspiracy without handing over power.  He called for non-cooperation in this situation. After the election he met Yahia Khan many times. In a historic speech at the Racecourse Ground on March 7, 1971, he declared: “This time the struggle is for our liberation, this time the struggle is for freedom. 
After midnight on March 25, 1971, Pakistani forces arrested the undisputed Bengali leader from his Dhanmondi residence to thwart the Bengali liberation struggle.  Before his arrest, in the early hours of March 26, he declared the independence of Bangladesh.  In the absence of Bangabandhu, the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, formed with him as President, conducted the war of liberation.  After winning the war of liberation, he was released from prison in Pakistan and returned to the country on January 10, 1972 and took on the great responsibility of rebuilding the war-torn country.  As the undisputed leader of the Bengalis, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman became a legend in his lifetime.  Bangabandhu was the first Bengali to address the UN General Assembly in Bengali.  In 1972, he was awarded the Julio Curie Medal.  On 15 August 1975, he and his family were assassinated by some insidious, power-hungry members of the military in a domestic-foreign conspiracy, including the defeated forces of 1971.
